Strategic Planning
Gilling Dod is an expanding firm of architects with offices in Liverpool and Chorley, Lancashire. The Directors, in planning for the extension of the practice, recognised the need to develop the ICT system in a structured way, both in hardware and software terms. They also recognised that their existing ICT Management systems were not robust enough.
Tokoda was commissioned to prepare a strategy to develop the ICT systems to respond to the above. This work involved a briefing at Board Level, and presentation of proposals back to the Board, including proposed budgets. The Directors found that Chris Gill’s approach was clear and used language that lay people could understand. After the initial briefing, he spoke to key members of staff to understand the offices needs and then developed a system which met these needs.
As an extension to the brief, Tokoda acted as a facilitator in the recruitment of an IT Manager and assisted with interviewing candidates.Twelve months on from the recruitment of the IT Manager and the installation of the new systems, Tokoda continues to assist the Practice with advice and provision of equipment.
